Description

Imagine life without your cellphone, MRI’s, ATM’s or GPS. All of these technologies are a result of space exploration. Now imagine life here on earth if we are able to travel beyond our solar system.  Mae Jemison, MD, Founder and President of the Jemison Group and BioSentient Corp, is currently leading the 100 Year Starship project to assure human interstellar space travel to another star within the next century. This ambitious effort for interstellar travel will be achieved through the dedication of identifying and pushing on the radical leaps in knowledge, sustainability and technology needed to achieve interstellar flight, while pioneering and transforming breakthrough applications that enhance the quality of life for all on Earth. You’ll hear Dr. Jemison’s enthusiasm, excitement, and emphatic challenge to us all—recognition that anything is possible, whether transforming the health care industry or reaching the stars.
